Two nights ago I was up late…again. Matt and I were watching a science show about time travel, but he’d fallen asleep in my lap. 🙂

When I’m up late by myself I tend to be more creative.

The later it got, the more the show shared about outer space and the possibilities for wormhole travel and the possibilities of the Alpha Centauri system.

So I got to thinking about binary stars. They’re kind of interesting. Two stars orbiting one another. So I started wondering why they do that…and I started writing.

What resulted is a very short story (700 words,+/-) explaining the history of binary stars.

The Love Story of Alphaios and Betta. A Myth.
